About Our Foundation

The TPR Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Public Charity that provides a way for individuals and organizations to make tax-deductible contributions for the benefit of senior citizens in the Southeast Valley, including Trilogy at Power Ranch.

Our Story

How We Got Started

The TPR Foundation was the original brainchild of five residents of Trilogy at Power Ranch, an active adult community in Gilbert, Arizona. They met in the fall of 2013 to discuss what they initially perceived to be a lack of opportunities and facilities for individuals within active adult communities to maintain and enhance their mental and physical well-being. They also saw a need for support services to their friends and neighbors who as they grew older were far from family or on their own.

Following the model of another southeast valley adult community, this small group created the TPR Foundation, which was incorporated in December 2013 and received its 501 (c) (3) exempt status as a public charity from the IRS on July 10, 2014.

Starting with their own personal contributions and those from friends and neighbors, the Foundation began to undertake their stated mission — to work in partnership with community organizations to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for senior adults residing in Southeast Valley communities. Early recipients of Foundation support included Trilogy’s fitness center for fitness and rehabilitation equipment, its’ library for large-print/audio books and partnerships with various Trilogy clubs to raise funds for their specific needs.

The TPR Foundation soon extended its reach well beyond its residential borders, reaching out to community service agencies in Gilbert, Chandler and Queen Creek to provide meals and transportation to seniors. Other recipients of Foundation support include the Gilbert Senior Center, the Hospice of the Valley, the Gilbert Fire Department and Banner Health M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. The all-volunteer Foundation Board has also extended its reach, recently welcoming its first member from outside the Trilogy residential community.
