Long-time Board members were honored at recent Foundation fund-raisers, including:
Rodger Page: Rodger served on the board for 10 years, serving as President, Vice-President, chair of the golf event for four years, and chair of the memorial bench program for three years. He currently writes the TPR Foundation column for the San Tan Press. Under his leadership golf tournament revenues, sponsorships, and participation by golfers more than doubled. He is proudest of the growth of the Foundation during his tenure.
Sue Marcin: Sue served on the board for 5 years. During her time on the board, she served as treasurer, Community Engagement Director, and planned and coordinated Wine Tasting events. In addition, she secured thousands of dollars in grant money and helped with the purchase and installation of memorial benches and bricks. As Community engagement Director, she formed alliances with Hospice of the Valley, AZCEND, Dignity Health, and the Gilbert Senior Center, among others.
Rich Johnson: Rich served on the board for 10 years. His contributions to the golf tournament have been invaluable. He also was responsible for communicating with the community by handling the Foundation's bulk mailing program, making signs for the golf tournament and other events, and helping sponsor Foundation events. He is most proud of his contributions in helping the Foundation move forward from its infancy to its current ability to contribute thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to making our community a better place for seniors.
