The TPR Foundation assumed the task of updating the Tranquility Courtyard as its “Tree of Life” was deteriorating and needed to be replaced. At the same time, the inscribed Memorial Bricks were fading and difficult to read.
The foundation reimagined the Courtyard to a beautiful garden with a stunning “Tree of Life” sculpture along a wrought iron fence with a spectacular view of Trilogy in the background. The Foundation duplicated the inscriptions on the bricks to the leaves of the sculpture.
During the short ceremony on November 16th, Fram Molleur related the history of the Courtyard transitioning from a parking lot at the sales center to the beautiful garden that it is today – a place of quiet solitude and reflection. The Courtyard was first used on September 11, 2011, as the setting for a ten-year remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy. Zon March 17, 2017, the area was officially dedicated as the Tranquility Courtyard.
Board member Rodger Page shared the story of the transition period from 2017 to present day.
Keith and Pat Kilber represented the Dakota Group which was recognized for the group’s generous donation that was used to initiate the purchase of the Tree of Life sculpture.
President Miriam Sluder announced that the Foundation Board of Directors had voted unanimously to place the last Memorial Bench on the Trilogy campus in the Tranquility Garden. The bench was dedicated to Ian Welsh in recognition of his support and promotion of the TPR Foundation.
